In this role you will build AI-powered agents and applications that automate and optimize Flexport’s logistics operations. You’ll tackle high-impact, cross-functional problems across customs, document processing, and exception handling, guiding solutions from idea to production. You’ll work directly with operators, domain experts, and leadership to ship measurable improvements across 112 countries. This is a chance to shape autonomous logistics at scale and influence how global trade flows.

- Design and ship end-to-end AI agents for real logistics work (customs, docs, exceptions).
- Collaborate across teams to deeply understand problems and drive alignment.
- Move rapidly from concept to production with a focus on learnings from deployments.
- Engage with operators, domain experts, and leadership to turn ambiguous problems into shipped solutions.
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with extensive LLM work in production, side projects, or motivated interest
- Strong product instincts to identify what to build beyond a bare spec
- LLM fluency: agent patterns, RAG, prompt engineering, tool use, evaluation
- Full-stack capability in TypeScript and Next.js
- Entrepreneurial drive, comfort with ambiguity and rapid action
- Excellent communication across teams and disciplines
