Overview
As a Staff/Senior Staff Security Engineer in Vinted Pay, you will secure the payments platform responsible for handling members’ funds across multiple regions. You’ll translate regulatory requirements into engineering guardrails and drive practical security controls within a growing fintech infrastructure. You’ll work hands-on to close high-impact gaps and then scale the security capability with the Payments Engineering leadership. This role blends core security, architecture, and delivery to enable rapid, compliant product development.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Own the Vinted Pay security roadmap end to end and drive risks to closure
- Translate PCI DSS, DORA, Bank of Lithuania, and FCA requirements into automated controls and guardrails
- Conduct deep technical reviews of AWS infrastructure, payment pipelines, SIEM and vulnerability tooling
- Own PCI DSS and data protection architecture (isolation, monitoring, encryption, least-privilege) across multi-region environments
- Lead cross-functional security initiatives across Payments Platform, Payments Engineering, and Group Security
- Act as the technical arm of Vinted Pay's security, maintaining risk registers and governance
- Embed secure development into payments engineering to shift security left and raise engineers’ security fluency
- Represent Vinted Pay in security governance and influence without formal authority
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Strong hands-on security engineering experience on large production systems
- Experience in regulated payments or fintech under PCI DSS and regulators (e.g., FCA, Bank of Lithuania)
- Staff- or principal-level track record defining and delivering major technical initiatives
- Ability to threat-model payment flows and drive fixes end-to-end
- Comfort with or willingness to learn Ruby on Rails, Go, MySQL, Temporal, AWS, SIEM, CSPM tooling
- Excellent written and spoken English
