Overview
In this Staff Engineer role, you will help build and scale Adyen’s banking products, including Bank Accounts, Payouts, and Liquidity management, shaping the technical foundation and product capabilities for global customers. You’ll partner with product and engineering leadership to drive scalable, reliable systems and new offerings that directly impact how customers hold and manage finances. Expect high-visibility work across time zones with an emphasis on engineering excellence, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration. - Define and improve engineering systems for reliability, quality, and maintainability
- Coach teams to make long-term, scalable technical decisions
- Partner with product to design, define, and shape new product offerings

- Mentor engineers to grow their skills and careers
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience as (senior) Staff Engineer / Tech Lead in a comparable company with ~30 engineers
- Proven track record in designing, building, and operating large, complex systems
- Experience in financial infrastructure, issuing, banking, treasury, or embedded finance
- Strong mentoring, coaching, and cross-functional leadership skills
- Comfort working across product, engineering, and commercial teams
