Overview
As an Industrial Solution Engineer, you will blend deep technical acumen with customer-facing selling to advance Cisco’s Industrial IoT initiatives in EMEA. You collaborate with Account Executives to showcase solutions, run proofs of concept, and shape customer digitization journeys with architecture-led designs. You’ll educate cross-functional teams, enable field engineers, and contribute to competitive differentiators through industrial‑validated designs. This role offers hands-on demos, strategic roadmap input, and opportunities to influence large-scale IoT deployments for business outcomes.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Own the technical plan for the territory in alignment with the Industrial IoT Account Executive
- Support opportunity development and contribute to the technical account plan for digitization journeys
- Communicate technical solutions and architectures to generic teams and stakeholders
- Maintain a champion SI community for enablement and scale across the territory
- Design technical solutions and architectures with portfolio SEs
- Document best-practice industry vertical use cases
- Lead solution-led selling based on industrial validated designs
- Deliver demos, POCs, and value proofs to customers or partners
- Build competitive technical expertise to support RFPs
- Manage a personal demo environment to develop skills and assist sellers/partners
- Support technical seminars and enablement activities across EMEA for IoT campaigns
- Collaborate with CX, innovation centers, and other teams to expand IoT capabilities for customer demos
- Drive/influence roadmap discussions with the IoT BE and manage EFT participation
- Pursue continuous self-development in technical and vertical excellence
- Engage as a technology solution consultant leveraging rare industrial skillset
- Lead engaging workshops and customer events around solution architecture
- Present at customer/industry events and symposia
- Utilize Cisco certified AI tools to augment and differentiate Cisco
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's a plus
- 5+ years of industry-related experience
- Strong understanding of industrial protocols (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.) and architectures (Purdue model)
- Knowledge of Cisco Industrial Networking, Security and Network Automation & Management solutions
- Experience with MPLS, SRv6, SD-WAN, SD-Access, VPN, LTE/Wi‑Fi and related networking concepts
- Strong field sales experience with hands-on technical ability
- Experience presenting to executive audiences and running high-impact demos/workshops
- Experience as overlay sales professional
- Familiarity with AI concepts/tools; programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, C++) preferred
- Experience in industries like Utilities, Manufacturing, Transportation, Oil & Gas, Mining, Defense beneficial
- Pre-sales experience preferred
- English fluency; Dutch highly desirable
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
