Overview
As a Software Engineer on an Agile team, you will build cloud-hosted, distributed applications to support researchers publishing their work. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements, shape architecture for performance and stability, and drive delivery improvements. This role sits in a dynamic, hybrid Amsterdam office and offers opportunities to influence a next-generation product used by the scientific community. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to tackle meaningful problems in research publishing.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based distributed applications for the next-generation product
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback in a fast-moving environment
- Contribute to architectural decisions to ensure stability and performance
- Identify and implement delivery enhancements to improve efficiency
- Partner with cross-functional Agile and DevOps teams
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Proficiency in Java
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (React, Angular, etc)
- SQL proficiency
- Experience with Git version control
- Experience with modern IDEs (IntelliJ / VS Code) and refactoring tools
- Experience with test-driven development and mocking libraries (Jest, Mockito)
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
- Knowledge of Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban)
