Overview
As a backend-focused software engineer at Databricks, you will help build infrastructure and platform products at scale. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to address challenges spanning product and infrastructure, from distributed systems to monitoring and orchestration. You will deliver reliable, high-performance services and data tooling that power cloud storage access and pricing infrastructure for millions of cluster-hours daily. Verantwoordelijkheden
- Develop and operate scalable backend services and client libraries for large-scale data storage and access on cloud backends (AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage)
- Build reliable, high-performance services and data pipelines to power platform features and pricing infrastructure
- Address problems spanning product and infrastructure, including distributed systems, service architecture, monitoring, and workflow orchestration
- Enhance developer experience and tooling within the Databricks platform to improve usability and scalability
- Work with technologies like Scala, Kubernetes, and Spark to enable platform-scale capabilities
Belangrijkste vereisten
- BS (or higher) in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of production experience in Java, Scala, C++, or similar language
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with SaaS platforms or Service-Oriented Architectures
