Overview
In this role you will design and own scalable delivery-performance systems that underpin Booking.com's data-driven platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into robust architectures and experiments, shaping how software delivery is measured and improved. You’ll work on end-to-end systems, balance performance and risk, and contribute to growth through technical leadership and mentoring. Verantwoordelijkheden
- Own end-to-end, scalable systems and monitor SLIs/SLOs for performance
- Resolve issues across mobile apps, website, and internal tools with impact-based prioritization
- Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Lead and participate in testing environments with many concurrent experiments
- Assess customer needs and select optimal languages, architectures, and risk trade-offs
- Contribute to company growth through interviewing, on-boarding, and recruiting efforts
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 7+ years of Software Engineering experience
- Proficiency in 2+ server-side programming languages
- Solid understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture, Microservices, and OOP
- Advanced experience with TypeScript, SQL/NoSQL, and AWS
- Experience with Python, Go, and Kubernetes
- End-to-end ownership and incident management capabilities
- Excellent communication and cross-level collaboration skills
- Proven track record of initiatives that improve productivity, performance, and quality
- Mentoring, coaching, or training team members (nice to have)
