Overview
In this role you will own and evolve Flexport’s developer platform, enabling hundreds of engineers to ship faster and more securely. You will build self-serve tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and build systems to streamline engineering workflows. You’ll steward GraphQL and gRPC ecosystems, IAM by default security, and the observability stack to keep services reliable. Verantwoordelijkheden
- Own and evolve the developer platform to empower engineers
- Create and support CI/CD pipelines (Buildkit, Github Actions) and build tooling (Gradle, Bazel, npm/pnpm/bun, Go and Cargo) and artifact repositories (Artifactory, ECR, github)
- Improve backend and frontend developer experience
- Steward GraphQL and gRPC ecosystem including middleware, federation, schema sharing, CLIs, codegen, servers and clients
- Evolve IAM solutions to be secure-by-default
- Ensure smooth container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS) and observability stack (Openmetrics, Datadog) for running and debugging services
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience building developer platforms or internal tooling
- Strong full-stack instincts across backend, frontend pipelines, Kubernetes manifests, and CI configurations
- Experience with multiple of: CI/CD systems, container orchestrators, multi-language build tooling, GraphQL-based BFF, gRPC, metrics and artifact storage
- Ability to fix tech debt or manage migrations
- Independent mindset and ability to operate in ambiguity
- Excellent communication skills and ability to document and align stakeholders
