Overview
In this role you own and evolve the Linux foundation powering advanced industrial systems, collaborating across hardware, software, robotics, and product teams. You will shape security, reliability, and scalability for on-premise and cloud-connected platforms, with hands-on ownership of build pipelines, custom Linux images, and containerised services. The position offers impact in a fast-growing deep-tech environment developing next-generation industrial technology across multiple sectors.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Own the Linux build, customization, deployment, and update pipelines for globally deployed systems
- Design and maintain Linux-based control platforms for industrial applications
- Improve platform security through hardening, patching, encryption, access control, and secure updates
- Support and lead the development of a Linux + Docker SaaS platform including deployment and monitoring
- Manage software releases and ensure reliable production deployments
- Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers within the team
- Optimize systems for reliability, scalability, performance, and security
- Contribute to automation, monitoring, and operational tooling across the software stack
- Collaborate with software, firmware, robotics, and product teams
- Hands-on ownership in production environments and highly innovative hardware/software systems
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical discipline
- 4+ years of software engineering with a strong systems focus
- Strong Python development skills
- Deep Linux systems knowledge beyond standard administration
- Experience building and maintaining custom Linux images (Yocto, Buildroot, Debootstrap)
- Strong understanding of Linux security principles (hardening, encryption, access control, secure updates)
- Solid Docker/containerisation experience
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment
- Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
