Overview
In this role you own complex accounting areas to support Mollie’s growth, including revenue, cost of sales, provisions and taxes, and end-to-end regulatory reporting. You’ll drive monthly and year-end closes, collaborate with engineering, product and FP&A, and shape how new products are accounted for. You’ll present to senior leadership and help scale the finance function as Mollie expands its banking licence and product lines.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Deliver on-time monthly and yearly close for complex accounts (revenue, cost of sales, provisions, taxes)
- Own end-to-end regulatory reporting, including DNB submissions
- Lead finance-related projects from kickoff to launch with engineering and product teams
- Develop financial solutions with FP&A, tax, operations and procurement
- Coach and support junior accountants to grow skills and confidence
- Prepare for and support external auditors through the annual audit
Belangrijkste vereisten
- A degree in accountancy and/or finance
- minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accountancy/finance
- Strong fintech or general accounting experience with/without a post accountancy qualification
- Experience managing complex accounts (revenue, cost of sales, provisions, taxes)
- Strong IFRS and Dutch GAAP knowledge; tax accounting (CIT, VAT, WKR) experience
- Experience with month-end and year-end close
- Comfort presenting to senior stakeholders and handling pushback
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Experience using AI to drive productivity and automate processes (preferred)
