Overview
As a Senior Data Scientist in Trust & Safety Actioning, you will design and deploy production ML models to prioritize and automate actions against harmful marketplace activity at scale. You will work closely with Data Infrastructure and backend engineers to build robust data pipelines and improve model training and deployment. You will mentor teammates, influence the model development roadmap, and collaborate cross-functionally to safeguard the community. This role offers the chance to shape best practices in data-driven moderation and leverage state-of-the-art ML to mitigate risk.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead end-to-end lifecycle of production ML models for prioritizing and automating actions on harmful marketplace entities
- Establish and refine ML processes: data versioning, labeling pipelines, high-quality data availability for training
- Collaborate with Data Infrastructure and backend engineers to build scalable data pipelines and infrastructure
- Influence strategic roadmap for the Actioning team and work with Decision Scientists to improve models
- Mentor teammates and drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful results
- Drive continuous improvement of moderation models and processes
- Apply ML techniques to analyze text, images, and other data formats to detect risky content
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 4+ years in data science with strong ML foundation
- Proficiency in classical and deep learning techniques
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI or LLM-powered workflows handling large traffic
- Experience deploying real-time ML models in production
- Experience building data ingestion, feature engineering, and model training pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving and ability to stay at the forefront of ML developments
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Past experience with fraud detection or harmful content detection is a plus
