Overview
As Risk Specialist at Fastned, you strengthen the risk and control framework to enable responsible, rapid growth. You will partner with Operations, Product & Engineering, Finance, and Legal & Compliance to protect revenue and embed risk ownership across the business. You’ll help identify, assess, and monitor risks, turning exposure into actionable indicators and clear reporting. Verantwoordelijkheden
- Define and maintain Fastned's risk management framework, including policies, controls, risk appetite, and risk roadmap
- Lead fraud detection and investigations across customers, employees, and third parties
- Translate risk exposure into measurable indicators (KRIs) and dashboards and monitor for emerging risks
- Act as trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, embedding risk in decision-making and ways of working
- Increase risk awareness across all departments so teams own their risks and controls
- Coach risk champions and strengthen first line risk capabilities across the organisation
- Define and implement risk reporting, including thematic deep-dives for audiences from operational teams to the Supervisory Board
- Collaborate cross-functionally on projects to embed risk and controls from the start
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 5+ years in risk management, internal control, or a related role
- Strong understanding of risk concepts and control frameworks with practical application
- Experience building or shaping risk practices in evolving organisations
- Experience with fraud risk and knowledge of fraud typologies
- Understanding of listed company implications for risk and compliance; experience in scale-ups is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; English fluent, Dutch a plus
- Ability to challenge constructively and bring structure to complex situations
- Proactive, pragmatic, curious, and data-driven; able to work independently and cross-functionally
- Strong analytical skills; experience with data models, dashboards, BI/AI tools, and SQL is a strong plus
- Relevant professional certification in risk management or related field is a plus; bachelor’s degree in related fields
