Overview
In this role, you drive ING’s regulatory model strategy and methodologies, overseeing regulatory model monitoring and capital management for credit risk. You will coordinate global model development efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies for IRB and IFRS9 models. You’ll lead a technical team, shape the end-to-end model lifecycle, and communicate insights to senior management. This role offers impact across risk governance and group-wide risk capital decisions, with a focus on efficiency and regulatory alignment.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Develop and maintain strategic model landscape and capital requirement methodologies for regulatory models
- Advise senior risk leadership on the application of credit risk management frameworks and escalation paths
- Lead redevelopment of model monitoring to improve efficiency while maintaining adequate capital coverage (IRB RWA and provisioning)
- Oversee creation and refinement of dashboards and reports for senior management on risk migration, capital planning and RWA usage
- Coordinate end-to-end regulatory credit risk model lifecycle activities across ING locations
- Act as the organizational authority on policy interpretation, development, and alignment with regulatory standards
- Interface with stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant model governance and ECB communications
- Manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with 1st Line of Defense on risk control and model strategy
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 10–15 years in financial risk management or related fields
- Extensive experience in credit risk modelling, statistics, policy development, and regulation
- Proven ability to lead and organize teams over mid-term horizons
- Strong knowledge of regulatory model lifecycle, IT, data, and policy development
- Excellent verbal and written communication for policy and methodology discussions
- Experience with governance, risk assessment, and model risk management
- Ability to coordinate cross-location activities and stakeholder engagement
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
