Overview
As Regional Legal Counsel for Northern Europe, you provide practical, commercially-focused legal support to Benelux with exposure to Nordic matters. You partner with sales, tender, contracts, finance, compliance, and HR to enable compliant growth while managing legal risk. You will collaborate with regional and global legal teams to drive strategic contracting, governance, and risk initiatives. Your role combines advisory, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration to support region-wide initiatives and industry engagements.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Act as trusted advisor for Benelux within Northern Europe, delivering practical, commercially-focused legal guidance
- Support regional and cross-country projects and alignment of legal processes
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements (tenders, framework, capital equipment, service models, distribution arrangements, HCP/HCO agreements)
- Analyze laws, regulations, and company policies, with emphasis on healthcare and public procurement
- Support dispute management, investigations, and operational legal matters
- Identify and mitigate legal/compliance risks with Compliance through training and process improvements
- Collaborate with sales, finance, compliance, RAQA, HR, and market access to enable compliant execution
- Coordinate with EMEA/global teams and external counsel for high-quality support in strategic contracting, data privacy, IP, litigation, employment, and regulatory matters
- Contribute to regional legal initiatives, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of contracting and governance
- Represent Stryker in industry associations and external legal forums as appropriate
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Law degree & admission to practice law as in-house counsel
- Approximately 6 to 8 years of post-qualification experience
- Strong commercial contracting experience with ability to negotiate with sophisticated customers
- Proven stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Clear, practical and risk-based advisory capability in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and spoken English & Dutch
- Interest in leveraging AI-enabled legal tech and CLM tools to improve delivery
