Overview
As a Terminal (POS) Certification Expert, you own end-to-end Level 2 kernel certification for Adyen’s in-person payments. You bridge engineering, the external certification lab, and payment schemes to ensure EMVCo and scheme approvals for contact and contactless kernels. You diagnose failures at the APDU and transaction-flow level and guide engineers toward fixes. You manage the certification calendar to hit external milestones and keep stakeholders aligned. This role sits at the heart of secure, scalable in-person payments, with a clear impact on certification quality and timeliness.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Own end-to-end Level 2 kernel certification for contact and contactless kernels
- Coordinate testing with external certification lab and translate results into actionable reports for engineers
- Investigate certification failures at APDU/transaction-flow level and guide kernel developers to fixes
- Manage the certification calendar and timelines to ensure timely submissions and delta certifications
- Act as the liaison between engineering, certification lab, and payment schemes to keep processes moving
Belangrijkste vereisten
- At least 2 years of hands-on Level 2 certifications for contact and contactless kernels
- Knowledge of EMVCo specifications for contact and contactless kernels
- Experience with EMV Level 3 brand certification is a plus
- Proficiency with EMV test tooling, card simulators, and reading APDU traces
- Strong communication skills to explain certification issues to engineers and external labs
- Ability to manage timelines, take initiative, and drive certification cycles
- Comfort in a hybrid role coordinating multiple stakeholders
