Overview
As part of the EMEA Accounting team in Amsterdam, you will lead hands-on accounting, control, and finance automation across 15+ countries. You’ll drive timely, accurate monthly close, manage VAT and transfer pricing, and shape an automation roadmap for the function. This role blends cross-border finance operations with process improvements in a fast-growing multinational environment. You’ll partner with Business, FP&A, and back-office teams to embed scalable accounting workflows and ensure compliant, efficient financial reporting.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Own monthly close timeliness, completeness and accuracy across a multi-entity footprint with scalable schedules
- Ensure accuracy of local Revenue and COGS, including transfer pricing calculations
- Control cost, balance sheet and liquidity via OPEX, T&E, anomaly investigations, deposits and cash flow review
- Develop and execute automation roadmap for Accounting inside/outside the ERP to remove manual work
- Ensure correct input/output VAT recording end-to-end with EU/international VAT principles
- Lead e-invoicing readiness for local continuous transaction control mandates
- Collaborate with Business to capture new commercial models/contract structures and embed into accounting workflows; partner with FP&A and back-office functions
- Provide leadership by supervising and developing the Accounting team
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and operational finance experience in a high-growth company
- Experience in a multinational setting with cross-border reporting needs
- Strong background in GAAP, financial reporting and ERP systems
- Proven experience with applying VAT rules and VAT accounting across Europe
- Top-level proficiency in deploying and overseeing automated finance tools, agent frameworks and modern financial data stacks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization and planning skills, and keen attention to detail
