Overview
In this role, you will be the principal GenAI and LLM technical authority for Databricks’ EMEA Emerging Digital Natives and Startups unit. You’ll shape production-grade GenAI solutions, guide customer roadmaps, and elevate GenAI capabilities across the field organization. You’ll build hands-on proofs-of-concept and reference implementations on the Databricks platform, including model fine-tuning and evaluation for high-stakes domains. As a bridge to Product and Engineering, you’ll feed field insights into the roadmap and mentor a growing team of engineers. This role offers visibility as a technical thought leader and the chance to influence how fast-moving customers adopt GenAI at scale.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Serve as deep technical authority on Generative AI, LLMs, and applied ML for strategic customer engagements.
- Scope, design, and de-risk GenAI use cases with cross-functional teams.
- Build PoCs and reference implementations for large-scale LLMs and DL workloads on Databricks (Mosaic AI, MLflow, Model Serving, Vector Search, Unity Catalog).
- Lead fine-tuning and model customization on open LLMs (e.g., Llama-family) with evaluation approaches for high-quality domains.
- Act as bridge to Product and Engineering, channeling feedback into roadmap and representing it back to the field.
- Enable and mentor the EMEA Emerging DNB Field Engineering team through workshops and enablement.
- Represent Databricks externally as a technical thought leader through talks, blogs, and executive briefings.
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Strong understanding of the LLM landscape and ability to articulate POVs to customers.
- Deep expertise in GenAI stack: RAG, agents, prompts, evaluation, guardrails, and safety.
- Foundations in ML/DL with distributed training, GPU workloads, and MLOps lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Python and ML ecosystem (PyTorch/Transformers, MLflow, Spark), with production-quality reference implementations.
- Experience with Databricks platform or ability to ramp quickly (Mosaic AI, Model Serving, Vector Search, Unity Catalog).
- Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Excellent communication and consultative skills to influence engineers and executives.
- Track record of technical leadership and mentorship.
- Comfort working in fast-moving, high-growth clients and across time zones.
