Overview
In this role you will steer the technical direction of VITA, Vinted’s in-house incident and alerting platform. You will own the architecture for high-scale distributed systems and lead improvements to incident management, on-call processes, and alerting. You’ll work directly with engineering stakeholders and directors to shape the roadmap and ensure reliable, actionable alerts. You will mentor a growing team while advancing practical AI support for incident analysis. This is a chance to impact millions of users by reducing alert fatigue and accelerating postmortems through robust, scalable design.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead the technical direction for VITA, scoping complex problems and coordinating cross-team delivery
- Own incident management and on-call processes, driving tooling and process improvements
- Reduce alert fatigue by grouping noisy alerts and defining actionable standards
- Design event pipelines to enable an AI incident agent for rapid root-cause suggestions
- Set standards for SLOs and alerts and simplify tooling for teams to create them
- Define and track product and process metrics to demonstrate impact
- Maintain reliable alert routing and critical systems to enable faster delivery
- Mentor a team of engineers through system design reviews and RFCs
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Proven experience architecting, building, and operating high-scale distributed systems in production
- Experience owning distributed systems from design to operation
- On-call experience and ongoing readiness to respond to production incidents
- Strong product mindset for developer tooling and customer-focused engineering
- Understanding of observability: metrics, logs, traces and SLOs
- Excellent written and spoken English with clear technical communication
- Natural mentor and collaborator with ability to uplift others
- Advantage: incident management/observability tooling experience or platform team background
