Overview
In this Lead iOS Engineer role, you guide the technical direction of Vinted's design system, focusing on reusable UI, scalable architecture, and AI-ready patterns. You own the iOS component library, drive modularity and long-term platform health, and collaborate across disciplines to ship consistent experiences. You will prototype, review, and influence decisions while elevating engineering quality and scalability. Verantwoordelijkheden
- Own architecture and design decisions for the shared iOS component library and design-system tooling
- Push components toward greater composability and flexibility for broader screen coverage
- Make the design system AI-ready with well-structured components, docs, and patterns
- Improve design asset maintenance and release processes from handoff to deployment
- Define module boundaries, dependency direction, and API design for interdependent iOS packages
- Improve engineering quality and productivity: CI/CD, testing strategy, build times, flaky tests, reliable feedback
- Apply modern Swift concurrency (async/await, actors, structured concurrency) to maintain a scalable codebase
- Represent iOS in the Frontend Platform Council to align across domains
- Collaborate with Staff Engineers, EMs, PMs, Designers, and Android/Web engineers
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, RFCs/ADRs, and knowledge sharing
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Strong hands-on experience with SwiftUI and UIKit
- Solid understanding of Swift concurrency (async/await, structured concurrency, actors, data-race prevention)
- Experience with large-scale modular iOS applications and API design between modules
- Experience building or scaling a design system/component library used by multiple teams
- Ability to lead architecture and technical decision-making balancing speed and long-term health
- Experience improving engineering quality and developer productivity (CI/CD, testing strategy, build times, flaky tests)
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Staff Engineers, EMs, PMs, Designers, and Security teams
- Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar through reviews and guidance
