Overview
In this hands-on role, you will build and operate the self-service infrastructure that powers Flow Traders’ global Linux fleet and multi-cloud estate. You’ll write reusable Terraform modules, design CI/CD guardrails, and automate toil across on-premise and cloud environments. You’ll work across Linux, Kubernetes, and distributed systems to enable safe self-service for the technology organisation. This is a build-and-operate position with strong on-call responsibility and no direct reports, offering meaningful impact on trading infrastructure at scale.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Write, debug and publish reusable Terraform modules for Linux and cloud estates
- Design and own CI/CD workflows and guardrails in GitHub Actions
- Build and operate Kubernetes clusters (cloud and on-prem) and manage Kafka
- Provision and operate GCP, AWS and Alibaba Cloud resources via IaC
- Operate and automate the Linux estate (Foreman, Puppet, Ansible/AWX) including patching and lifecycle
- Develop automation and internal tooling in Python or Go with TDD
- Share in the global 24/7 on-call rotation and cross-skill between Linux and cloud estates
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Strong Terraform experience with reusable module development
- CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions preferred; GitLab CI/Jenkins acceptable) and gate/policy knowledge
- Solid production Kubernetes experience (CNI, Helm, Argo); self-managed or bare-metal clusters a plus
- Hands-on provisioning/operation of GCP or AWS via IaC
- Strong Linux fundamentals (processes, networking, storage, systemd, logs)
- Proficiency in Python or Go with test-driven development
- Direct on-call and incident response experience
- Typically 5+ years in infrastructure/platform/systems engineering
- Fluent English; Amsterdam-based or willing to relocate; on-site role
