Head of SAP Transformation in Amsterdam

Overview

Lead the end-to-end SAP S/4 transformation program, migrating from ECC to S/4 within Philips IT. You will partner with business leaders to shape the migration approach, budget, and roadmap, while embedding AI-enabled processes from design. As a VP within the IT Leadership Team, you drive governance, risk management and executive reporting, ensuring a smooth handover to run organisation after go‑live. You will work across functions to standardise processes and decommission legacy SAP ECC.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Oversee the SAP S/4 transformation as the program leader, including migration approach, value case, roadmap, budget, risk management and executive reporting
• Decide migration approach (brownfield, greenfield, hybrid) based on cost, risk, disruption and AI readiness in collaboration with business, Finance, and CIO
• Coordinate S/4 workstreams with business units, ensuring enterprise process standardisation where valuable
• Manage the design, build, testing, data migration, cutover and hypercare stage gates for each release
• Decommission legacy SAP ECC and ensure a clean exit with no extended legacy costs
• Own S/4 solution design within enterprise architecture guardrails and AI CoE standards
• Embed AI-enabled processes in S/4 design and use AI platform services for delivery
• Work with Run Organisation to define target support model and readiness criteria
• Involve run teams early to ensure knowledge transfer, documentation and support readiness
• Hand over operational accountability after go-live to the run organisation
• Ensure knowledge transfer as a condition of release closure for partners
• Close out the program after full transition and legacy decommissioning
• Manage SAP S/4 transformation budget with stage-gated governance and value tracking
• Control partner and licence costs, optimise cloud-hosted components (RISE) with FinOps
• Provide transparent run-cost information for consumption-based billing
• Represent program in IT Leadership Team, ExCom and board updates
• Build trusted relationships with business leaders and stakeholders across IT, Supply Chain and Finance
• Establish governance to ensure quality, speed and accountability
• Lead a program team combining internal staff and partners
• Foster delivery discipline, accountability, collaboration and care
• Attract and retain SAP transformation talent and scale the program

Belangrijkste vereisten

• Senior IT executive with direct accountability for multiple large-scale SAP programs in a global organisation
• Experience in health technology, medical devices, life sciences, or similarly regulated industries preferred
• Top-tier consulting or SI experience with deep SAP expertise valued
• Deep hands-on experience in SAP S/4 transformations including migration decisions, governance, data migration, cutover and SI management
• Proven track record transitioning ERP programs to steady-state operations (operational readiness, hypercare, knowledge transfer)
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4 architecture and enterprise-level design decisions
• Experience applying AI and automation in ERP programs with measurable outcomes
• Strong financial management skills: budget governance, business case management, vendor negotiation
• Excellent executive presence and stakeholder management; proven ability to report to executives and boards
• Experience building and leading large program teams combining internal and partner resources
