Overview
As Head of Engineering for Financial Data Experience, you will shape the customer-facing money movement data and reporting. You’ll bridge internal ledger complexity with a transparent, self-serve experience for merchants, regulators, and Adyen Finance. You lead a high-performing team to deliver consistent datasets, reports, and dashboards, enabling trusted financial insights. You’ll influence architecture, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure accuracy and auditability at scale.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Own the customer-facing money movement data model across merchants, regulators, and Adyen Finance
- Define data delivery outputs (datasets, reports, files, dashboards) with consistent terms
- Foster continuous innovation and build a best-in-class engineering team
- Recruit, mentor, and manage engineers, balancing scalability with cross-stream projects
- Prioritize with merchant and business needs in mind and steer planning to unblock delivery
- Streamline engineering operations, refine product requirements with product and merchants
- Maintain close involvement with technology to personally judge designs
- Lead complex, cross-team initiatives and ensure timely delivery
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 10+ years in engineering, 5+ years in leadership including managers of managers
- Experience leading a sizeable engineering organisation (25–50 engineers) and managing managers
- Literate in financial data concepts: ledgers, cut-offs, corrections, FX, fee attribution
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Proven ability to simplify, collaborate with product, and work with merchants and external stakeholders
- Experience delivering on platforms where one does not control the underlying system and obtaining necessary outcomes
- Preference for someone who values simplicity and can operate amid uncertainty
- Empathy for merchants and ability to address their biggest challenges
