Overview
As Financial Controller for Benelux & Scandinavia, you will anchor FP&A for Fashion, Watches & Fine Jewellery and Corporate, guiding growth and ensuring rigorous financial performance. You’ll partner with regional leaders to shape strategy, deliver robust forecasts, and provide actionable insights across markets. The role combines control, reporting, and enablement of business decisions in a fast-growing luxury environment. You will lead cross-functional collaboration, automate processes, and drive efficiency in a high-impact region.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Oversee P&L construction and financial cycles (Budget, Forecasts, Multi-Year Plans) ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
- Maintain direct contact with Fashion & W&FJ Directors in Benelux & Scandinavia and collaborate with accounting and other teams on closing
- Forecast and monitor Advertising & Promotion costs and Boutique Expenses, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Lead annual stock counts and act as business partner to retail teams on finance and stock matters
- Represent FP&A in IT projects implementing new financial systems (COUPA, ORION, SCORE, Hero) and drive automation initiatives (Future of Finance)
- Oversee consolidation, forecasting and actuals of structure costs (SMG&A) across CHANEL divisions in the region
- Develop reporting tools and dashboards to improve visibility of cost drivers and outlook
- Prepare budget, strategic and ad hoc presentations for Top Management with Head of FP&A and CFO
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
- Collaborate across departments to embed new financial tools and ensure training for users
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 6 to 8 years’ experience in FP&A, financial controlling or similar finance role
- Demonstrated experience as a trusted Finance Business Partner
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business or Management
- Based in Brussels or Amsterdam with periodic travel within Benelux, Scandinavia and Europe
- Excellent English; Dutch, French or a Scandinavian language is a plus
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Curious, proactive, dynamic and improvement-driven
- Strategic thinker with the ability to challenge
- Rigorous and thorough; team-oriented
- Proficient with MS-Office/Excel; interested in Power BI and Power Query
