Overview
As Europe Trade Compliance lead, you drive compliance of export controls and customs across the EU for eBay, enabling safe cross-border commerce. You collaborate with Legal, Product, Engineering, Shipping, and Risk to implement scalable controls and respond to regulatory changes. Your work reduces risk while supporting growth in European markets. This role combines deep regulatory expertise with cross-functional leadership in a dynamic, global team.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead EU export controls, and EU and national customs requirements (EU Dual-Use Regulation, AWG/AWV, German controls)
- Support global trade compliance program, including EAR/ITAR considerations impacting Europe
- Assess obligations across marketplace, shipping, and logistics to identify import/export duties and compliance needs
- Provide training on EU export controls, customs, classification, licensing, and declarations
- Develop and maintain risk assessments, policies, controls, and governance for trade compliance
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Shipping, Operations, Legal, Risk, and Sanctions Compliance to implement scalable controls
- Monitor regulatory developments (EU customs reform, EU Customs Data Hub, trader status, and other cross-border rules)
