Overview
As Engineering Manager in Identity & Verification Services at Adyen, you will lead a team of seven engineers and partner with Product to define the roadmap. You’ll shape how the verification platform scales, migrate and version checks, and broaden use cases beyond KYC. You’ll be a technical partner, reviewing designs and guiding architectural choices without hands-on coding. You will foster an empowering, safe environment where engineers own their work and deliver impact for a growing, trusted platform.

- Lead, coach and grow a team of 7 engineers
- Own the team’s execution and roadmap with Product
- Act as a technical partner, participate in system design and architecture discussions
- Shape platform scalability: migrate checks, introduce versioning, simplify building of new checks
- Open platform to use cases beyond KYC in coordination with Unified Platform and other product teams
- Create an environment where engineers own initiatives with clear goals
- Hire and develop engineers for a fast-moving environment
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 2+ years of people management experience leading software engineering teams
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, backend focus
- Experience with distributed systems in production at scale
- Proficiency with a modern backend language in production
- Technical credibility with senior engineers
