Overview
In this role you will shape the initial infrastructure architecture aligned with client needs and approved standards, while supporting implementation, automation and compliance for efficient operations. You’ll work within the data center and infrastructure teams to assess current and target states, design foundational architectures, and oversee deployment. You will apply automation and monitoring to maintain consistency and drive performance, with a focus on governance and security. This is a hands-on role in a mission-critical environment that values cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Data Center Operations: execute day-to-day datacenter activities, including server installation, decommissioning, racking, stacking, and cabling; monitor and respond to alerts; support hardware replacements; manage physical asset inventory and documentation.
- Infrastructure Support: maintain servers, storage, and networking components; coordinate with remote engineering teams for incident resolution; perform routine health checks and preventive maintenance; ensure availability of critical infrastructure.
- Vendor & Facilities Coordination: liaise with on-site vendors; support power, cooling, and security tasks; escort third-party vendors during maintenance windows.
- Compliance & Security: adhere to data center security, safety, and compliance requirements; support audits and ensure procedures follow organizational policies.
- Governance & Automation: gather requirements, design initial infrastructure architecture, oversee implementation, and monitor compliance; execute automation scripts for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.
- Performance & Capacity: assist in capacity planning, resource utilization, and performance monitoring using approved standards and tools.
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 4-8 years of experience in Data Center Operations or Infrastructure Support
- Hands-on experience with servers, storage, and networking equipment
- Strong understanding of data center environments and operational processes
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
- Experience in mission-critical environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities
- Linux and Windows Server administration
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, switches, routers)
- Server hardware troubleshooting
