Overview
In this role you help solve complex capital project challenges for clients by applying advanced analytics and proprietary tools. You will work in cross-functional teams to develop scalable analytical solutions, benchmark data, and deliver concrete recommendations. You’ll present results to client leadership and help implement improvements. This position sits within the Capital Analytics network, contributing to capital project insights across industries and expanding your expertise through structured learning and mentoring.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Deploy analytical tools to address client issues and support tool development
- Develop and maintain proprietary tools, benchmarking databases, and market perspectives
- Collaborate in 3–5 person teams on client engagements to gather data, test hypotheses, and deliver recommendations
- Build and scale analytical solutions for portfolio optimization, project development, value improvement, cost and schedule diagnostics
- Prepare cost estimates and budget forecasts for large-scale capital projects using advanced software and internal databases
- Contribute to industry knowledge and proprietary models by staying current with capital projects trends and synthesizing findings into McKinsey products
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or construction science
- 2+ years of experience on major capital projects in owner or contractor roles (PM/controls)
- Excel modeling capability and experience handling large datasets with databases
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Demonstrated leadership in work or extracurricular activities
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Effective communication of complex ideas (oral and written)
- AspenTech estimator tool experience (bonus)
