Overview
In this role, you will lead the Android AOSP effort to build a robust foundation for Adyen’s Android payments application. You’ll collaborate with product, software, and hardware teams to optimize the merchant payment experience, and partner with SOC and terminal vendors to secure high-performance components. You’ll ensure high software quality using modern Android OS technologies and coach the team to grow their skills. This opportunity enables you to shape in-person payment devices at scale.

- Engage with product, software, and hardware teams to optimize merchant payment experience
- Drive conversations with SOC and terminal vendors for high-performance components
- Ensure software quality using current Android OS engineering technologies
- Coach team members to develop the right skill set
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 5+ years of experience with the Android OS
- Deep understanding of Android OS (secure boot, Linux kernel, Java framework integration)
- Proficiency in C/C++ (Java/Kotlin a plus)
- Experience with source control tools: Git, Repo, Gerrit, GitHub; Android CLI tools adb, fastboot
- Track record navigating multi-party development lifecycles and familiarity with Google channels and compliance tools (VTS/CTS/STS)
- Experience modifying AOSP for domain-specific features
- Expertise in implementing and integrating HAL interfaces (HIDL/AIDL)
- Experience debugging Android Framework and Linux Kernel
