Overview
In this role you will design, implement, and optimize OpenText’s data center infrastructure to ensure high availability and scalable performance. You will lead capacity planning and lifecycle management, collaborate across teams, and drive automation to improve efficiency. The role supports the AI-first, future-driven, human-centered mission by enabling reliable compute, storage, and network foundations for critical workloads. You will shape infrastructure standards and work with vendors to deliver complex projects, contributing to digital transformation initiatives.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Design, architect, and deploy end-to-end data center infrastructure (compute, storage, network, power, cooling)
- Lead capacity planning and scalability strategies across the infrastructure lifecycle
- Define engineering standards and evaluate vendor/technology solutions
- Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring uptime, performance, and SLA/KPI adherence
- Manage network and systems infrastructure including monitoring, troubleshooting, and upgrades
- Drive automation and standardization through scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Ensure security, compliance, incident/change management, and provide leadership and cross-team collaboration
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years’ experience in data center engineering or infrastructure architecture
- Strong expertise in data center infrastructure (power, cooling, racks, cabling) and core IT systems (compute, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud)
- Understanding of high-availability architectures, disaster recovery, and large-scale environments
- Experience managing colocation providers and delivering complex infrastructure projects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; familiarity with DCIM tools and observability platforms; knowledge of sustainability/energy optimization
- Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure, GPU or HPC systems is a plus and electrical certification
- Very good English and Dutch skills are required
