An international fashion retailer is seeking a
Junior Buyer
to join its European Buying team, the assignment is running from
1 December through 31 March , with the
possibility of extension .
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early experience in Buying, Merchandising or Planning who is looking to further develop their career within a fast-paced international retail environment. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will support seasonal buying activities, product analysis, assortment planning and in-season trading decisions.
Responsibilities
Support the end-to-end seasonal buying process, including assortment planning and order placement
Analyse sales, stock and product performance data to support commercial decision-making
Work closely with Planning teams to identify opportunities and optimise product performance
Prepare reports, presentations and seasonal buying materialsSupport product range reviews and assortment recommendations
Gather market, competitor and store feedback to support buying decisions
Coordinate samples and support day-to-day buying operations
Collaborate with stakeholders across Buying, Planning, Merchandising and Retail
Requirements
1-2 years of experience in Buying, Merchandising, Planning or a similar retail-focused role
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and product data
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
Strong interest in fashion, retail and consumer trends
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proactive, hands-on and confident working independently
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent in English
