A newly created opportunity exists for a Network Engineer to join the team.The successful candidate will focus on architecting,implementing,and maintaining advanced network infrastructure spanning hybrid,private,and public cloud environments.Core duties involve hands‑on configuration of routing,switching,firewalls,load balancers,and web application security systems while collaborating with specialist engineers to ensure maximum uptime,security,and automation.
Responsibilities:
Building, rolling out and maintaining advanced network environments
Configuring and supporting switches, routers, firewalls, WAFs, load balancers and wireless kit
Taking architectural designs and turning them into working technical solutions
Owning patching, lifecycle management and security hardening
Keeping an eye on network performance, spotting issues and fine-tuning where needed
Following ITIL-based processes and helping improve the way the team works
Coming up with new and creative network solutions for clients
Skills/Must have:
Fluent Dutch and English, both spoken and written
Solid understanding of routing and switching, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS/VPLS, policy-based routing and GSLB
Hands‑on experience with firewalls, WAFs and load balancers
Wireless experience across vendors such as Aruba, Fortinet and Ubiquiti
Some exposure to scripting and network automation
The ability to take a high-level design and produce the detailed configuration and Visio documentation (LLD) to match
Certifications such as CCNP, Fortinet NSE4/5, Aruba, F5, Citrix NetScaler, Azure AZ-700/AZ-900 or ITIL Foundation are a big plus, but a willingness to work towards them is just as welcome
