An international, private equity-backed software group with revenues of c.$300M is seeking a Head of Accounting to lead a critical stage of its finance transformation. With acquisitions adding complexity and ambition across the business, this is an opportunity to shape a more connected, scalable and high-performing accounting function.
Working closely with the CFO, you will combine technical credibility with hands-on leadership, bringing clarity, pace and ownership to a business where finance has a central role in the value creation agenda.
The opportunity
- Lead and elevate the function: Develop the accounting team, establish clear accountability and build a culture of proactive problem-solving.
- Strengthen the foundations: Resolve legacy accounting issues and improve the accuracy, consistency and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Connect the group: Bring greater cohesion across accounting, consolidation, AP/AR and shared cost allocations.
- Drive post-acquisition integration: Align accounting policies, processes and controls across acquired businesses, creating a scalable platform for growth.
- Turn transformation into delivery: Simplify workflows, improve systems and embed practical changes that make finance more effective.
- Partner with the CFO: Act as a trusted sounding board, anticipating issues, challenging constructively and translating priorities into action.
What you bring:
- Accounting leadership experience in PE-backed software or technology.
- Proven delivery of finance transformation and post-M&A integration.
- Strong expertise in group accounting, consolidation and controls.
- A hands-on, proactive leader who builds teams and drives change.
- Confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
- Flexible on qualifications; track record is key.
