Lead Mechanical Engineer – Airport Projects | NL-based
Are you a Senior Mechanical Engineer who enjoys working on complex, high-impact environments like airports?
We’re working with an independent engineering consultancy that designs future-proof, high-performance buildings —from airports to hospitals and data centers. Their focus: smart installations, sustainability, and systems that truly support operations.
What you’ll do
You’ll take a leading role in airport projects, acting as a technical advisor and key link between clients, design teams, and project management.
Work on mechanical design across all project phases
Advise clients on sustainable and innovative building systems
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders
Contribute to complex projects like:
Sustainable airport terminal redevelopment
Critical infrastructure with high reliability requirements
Advanced climate control in high-traffic environments

Multidisciplinary team (mechanical, electrical, PMs, airport specialists)

High technical level + real project ownership
What you bring
BSc in Mechanical Engineering (HBO/HTS or equivalent)
Experience in building services / mechanical design (consultancy side)
Knowledge of sustainable systems (HVAC, energy systems, etc.)
Tools: Revit & AutoCAD
Experience with airports or hospitals = big plus
Strong communication skills (you deal with clients directly)
English required | Dutch is a plus
