We are looking for an experienced Cable Engineer to support the design and delivery of high-voltage cable infrastructure projects across the Netherlands and Europe. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale energy projects, providing technical expertise throughout the engineering lifecycle while contributing to the expansion and modernization of critical electricity networks. You will join a multidisciplinary Power & Energy team specialising in high-voltage transmission and distribution projects. Working alongside engineers and technical specialists from various disciplines, the department delivers complex infrastructure solutions that support the energy transition and grid expansion initiatives across national and international markets. As a Cable Engineer, you will act as a technical specialist for high-voltage cable systems, supporting complex engineering projects from concept through detailed design. You will be responsible for developing cable layouts, performing engineering calculations, evaluating technical solutions, and advising both clients and project teams. In addition, you will contribute to technical proposals, ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation, and share your expertise within multidisciplinary project teams. This is you: Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience within Electrical Engineering. Proven experience with high-voltage cable engineering projects. Strong knowledge of high-voltage cable systems and associated infrastructure. Experience designing and calculating high-voltage cable connections. Ability to develop cable layouts and technical engineering solutions. Experience performing engineering calculations and preparing technical proposals. Strong understanding of European standards, regulations, and legislation related to cable engineering. Ability to act as a technical expert and key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders. Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proactive, solution-oriented, and analytical mindset. Commitment to engineering quality, safety, and industry best practices. Ability to share knowledge and support the technical development of project teams. Experience working on transmission, grid expansion, or energy infrastructure projects is considered an advantage.
