the role we are looking for an assistant store manager to help run our amsterdam store on the utrechtsestraat. our store is small and personal. most of our clients come back, and many know the team by name.
you will look after our clients as if they were guests in our home, working alongside the store manager and reporting directly to her. when she is not in, you run the store.
what you’ll do welcome and advise welcome clients, advise them on shape, qualities and care —and help them find the right piece. keep in touch with your regulars and build the client book. invite them to the store for new editions and evenings.
run the store open and close the store, handle cash and payments and make sure the store looks great every morning. stand in for the store manager on her days off and during holidays.
lead the team help the store manager plan the weekly roster, train new sales associates and coach the team on the floor. you are the first point of contact for the team when the store manager is away.
keep the store in shape receive deliveries, check stock, run counts and handle transfers with our logistics team. keep the displays and the rails in line with our visual guidelines. tell us what sells and what clients ask for.
look after our care services, from washing and steaming to repairs, including for our partners.
help prepare and run events at the store with neighbors, hotels and friends of the brand.
who you are 10+ years in retail on the shop floor, ideally in luxury or premium fashion, with some time as a team lead, key holder or assistant manager a warm, trustworthy people person patient, confident, knowledgeable and never pushy organized and calm a natural leader fluent in english and dutch; any other language is a plus available to work weekends and the occasional evening a feel for knitwear and natural fibers is a plus
