Toolchain Release & Validation Engineer – Compiler / SDK About the Role At Euclyd, we build chips and systems that make advanced AI radically more energy-efficient and affordable. We’re a team of 40+ people in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and we’re growing fast. Craftwerk is the name of out platform for AI inference. Developers will be able to program and control Craftwerk through our own software toolchain, and you will be the one who makes sure that toolchain ships reliably.
We are looking for a proactive engineer to own the packaging, validation, and release of this toolchain. It includes compiler technology, SDKs, libraries, IDE extensions, and associated developer tools used to deploy and manage AI applications on our target platform.
You will be responsible for ensuring that every release is reliable, testable, reproducible, and well documented. Working closely with compiler, AI, and platform engineers, you will drive release quality and help establish a world-class developer experience.
Responsibilities Own the end-to-end release process for the Craftwerk compiler, SDK, and developer tools: building, packaging, and distributing releases.
Develop and maintain automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines for the compiler, SDK, and tooling.
Design and run release qualification and regression testing, defining quality metrics and acceptance criteria.
Investigate and resolve release, installation, and deployment issues.
Manage versioning, release notes, documentation, and artifact repositories.
Improve reproducibility, traceability, and automation across the delivery process.
Collaborate with compiler, AI, and platform teams to drive continuous improvement in software quality.
What You Bring At least 3 to 5 years of experience packaging and releasing software development tools such as compilers, SDKs, IDE extensions, or similar developer-facing products.
Knowledge of compiler technology, toolchains, or programming language ecosystems (such as LLVM- or GCC-based toolchains). You don't need to be a compiler developer, but you understand how toolchains are built, tested, and versioned.
Experience with Python, C++, and CMake.
Experience developing automated software tests and test frameworks, and a strong understanding of software quality assurance and validation methodologies.
Hands-on experience with Linux-based development environments, Docker, Git, and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment.
Nice to Have Understanding of software packaging technologies and artifact management.
Knowledge of transformer-based neural networks and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Experience with machine learning deployment workflows or AI development platforms.
What Success Looks Like Releases are delivered predictably, on time, and with high quality.
Automated test coverage continuously increases.
Build, release, and deployment processes are largely automated.
Developers can easily install, upgrade, and use the Craftwerk toolchain.
Release-related defects are detected early and reduced over time.
Key Characteristics Ownership and accountability.
Systematic and structured approach to engineering.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Passion for improving developer productivity and release excellence.
What We Offer You’ll play a key role in bringing Craftwerk to developers. The toolchain you release is the first thing they use when they start building on our platform, so your work directly shapes their experience. You’ll have real ownership from day one and room to set up the release process the way it should be done.
In return, we offer:
A gross annual salary of €70,000 – €90,000, depending on your skillset.
Commuting allowance.
A flexible, hybrid way of working.
A very nice team of compiler, AI, and platform engineers, plus retro games at the office for when you need a break.
