Overview
In this role you lead project control and management support for the Secure Connectivity Programme, partnering with programme managers to ensure cost, schedule, risks and resources align with ESA requirements.
You drive visibility through planning, reporting, and risk management, while coordinating with industry and internal stakeholders.
You’ll lead a team of project controllers, promote best practices, and support cross-functional decision-making to enable programmatic success.
This position offers hands-on influence over a high-impact space connectivity initiative within a collaborative, international environment.
- Verantwoordelijkheden
- Develop and maintain the programmatic aspects of the Secure Connectivity Programme, including cost, schedule, workforce, risks and geographical return
- Implement planning and control procedures with comprehensive progress reporting and information systems compliance
- Coordinate risk management and schedule activities; propose mitigations and prepare risk reports
- Prepare tender documents and participate in proposal evaluation
- Support contract negotiations and procurement processes with industry and stakeholders
- Oversee financial implementation and acceptance of deliverables
- Input for periodic project management reporting to management and stakeholders
- Contribute to project reviews and ensure changes are controlled and coherent
- Interface with industry on programmatic matters and promote best practices in project control
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in the unit
- Support the BUC & PMSO in establishing uniform management procedures for programme and project matters
- Lead day-to-day coordination of the project control team, providing guidance and fostering collaboration
- Support cross-cutting controlling functions for the Resilience, Navigation and Connectivity section
- Belangrijkste vereisten
- Master degree in a relevant domain
- Minimum five years of relevant professional experience
- Experience as a controller at agency or industry level advantageous
- Knowledge of space systems architecture is a plus
- Strong experience applying project management and risk management principles
- Experience with major industrial procurements and negotiations
- Experience with European Commission projects advantageous
- Proficiency in computer systems and tools such as esa-p, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project
- Familiarity with dashboard and risk management tools desirable
- Ability to work autonomously in an international team and deliver to deadlines
