At Equinix, we provide the infrastructure that powers the digital world. We are looking for motivated Dutch-speaking engineers and technicians who enjoy solving problems, learning new skills, and working as part of a close-knit team.
What You'll Do As a Critical Facility Engineer, you'll help maintain and improve the mechanical systems that keep our Amsterdam data centres operating safely and reliably.
You’ll work on equipment such as:
Cooling towers
Pumps and piping systems
Fans and ventilation systems
Cooling and chilled water systems
Other critical mechanical infrastructure
With support from experienced colleagues, you'll:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance
Learn how to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
Follow safety and operational procedures
Record completed work accurately in maintenance systems
Help identify improvements that increase reliability, efficiency, and safety
Work closely with fellow engineers, planners, and operational teams
Who We're Looking For We'd love to hear from you if you are:
Qualified to MBO Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Mechatronics, Installation Technology, or a similar technical field
A recent graduate, apprentice, or someone with practical maintenance experience
Curious, eager to learn, and willing to develop new technical skills
Comfortable working with tools and mechanical equipment
A team player who enjoys solving problems
Fluent in Dutch and comfortable communicating in English
Experience with refrigeration technology, STEK certification, or F-Gases is a plus, but not essential. If you have a solid technical foundation and the right attitude, we'll help you develop the rest.
