About the Opportunity A highly ambitious, venture-backed technology company is preparing for launch and building a next-generation platform from the ground up. Join at the earliest stage and play a defining role in the legal and governance foundations of the business.
The Role We're seeking a seasoned General Counsel who thrives in greenfield environments and has a track record of building legal functions from scratch.
You'll sit on the executive team alongside the founders. You'll be the trusted advisor on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and investor matters, and you'll own governance and legal strategy. You'll stay hands-on across contracts, IP, and corporate structuring, and you will build the future legal team.
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally combining leading law firm training with senior in-house leadership.
- Proven track record supporting technology or venture-backed businesses through financing rounds, launch, and rapid growth.
- Deep corporate and commercial expertise, with exposure to regulatory and IP matters.
- Experience advising boards and founders on high-stakes decisions.
- Start-up or scale-up mentality; comfortable with ambiguity and rapid growth.
- Strong ownership mindset, with the gravitas to influence strategy at founder and board level.
- Hands-on approach rather than a purely advisory or managerial profile.
