Introduction We are looking for an experienced
QA Engineer
for an innovative organisation based in Leeuwarden.
Duration: 3+ months, with the possibility of extension
Hours per week: 32–40 hours
Start date: Mid-November
Location: Leeuwarden / remote (you’re in the office on Monday and Thursday, the other days you choose where you work)
Languages required: Dutch and English
Organization Background
Our client is a leading provider of educational software used by secondary schools across the Netherlands. Its platform supports essential daily processes such as scheduling, grade management, attendance tracking and communication between schools, parents and students.
With hundreds of thousands of users relying on the platform every day, software quality, reliability and usability are essential. As a QA Engineer, you will help ensure the platform performs as expected and delivers a seamless experience for its users.
Function What you’ll do
You’re part of a Scrum team with developers and a product owner. From refinement onwards, you help decide what needs testing and how.
You write and maintain automated tests: end-to-end with Playwright, API tests and integration tests in C#/.NET where needed.
You make sure the tests run in the CI/CD pipeline and that the team trusts them.
You test manually where automation doesn’t pay off, for example with new features or tricky edge cases.
You report findings clearly and reproducibly. Together with the developer, you figure out where the problem is.
You help the team see quality as a shared responsibility, not as the last step before a release.
Requirements What you bring
At least 3 years of experience as a QA engineer or test automation engineer.
Experience working agile in a multidisciplinary Scrum team.
Experience with Playwright (TypeScript or C#).
Experience with API testing (REST) and tools like Bruno or similar.
Basic knowledge of C#/.NET, enough to read code and review unit tests.
Experience with CI/CD in Azure DevOps.
You like working in a team and speak up when something’s off.
Fluent in Dutch and English.
Nice to have
Experience with performance or security testing.
Knowledge of the education domain.
