HBO Internship: Improve Automated Tests for Mainframe Finance in Eindhoven

Job description

As an HBO Intern focused on Automated Testing and AI Integration for Mainframe Finance, you will be part of the Mainframe Finance team and focus on automating the creation of change documentation for mainframe applications.

This internship consists of:

Gaining an understanding of the existing Tosca automation framework and Python workflows;

Developing and refining a documentation workflow in Visual Studio Code using Copilot, or researching alternative tools for generating test documentation;

Ensuring that generated documents accurately describe test steps, expected results, and captured evidence;

Handling test data and screenshots in accordance with company security and confidentiality requirements.

Your profile

You are enrolled in an HBO programme in IT, Business IT, Information Management, or a related field;

You are interested in automation, testing, AI, and process improvement;

You have an analytical mindset and enjoy structuring information;

You work accurately and independently;

You have good communication skills in English.

Department

The Mainframe Finance team is part of the IT organization at DAF Trucks and supports financially critical processes such as accounting, reporting, and financial controls. The team works on mainframe applications that require high levels of reliability, traceability, and documentation. To improve quality and efficiency, the department continuously looks for ways to automate and standardize processes. The goal of the department is to deliver stable, well-documented, and compliant financial IT solutions.
