At B&C, we work on developing and improving our window covering collections. Behind these collections is an international supply chain of suppliers, materials, agreements and deliveries. As a Buyer, you make sure this chain continues to run smoothly. You work with suppliers across Europe and Asia, keep a close eye on prices, quality and delivery times, and actively look for opportunities to make our purchasing smarter and more efficient.
You make an impact by contributing to reliable deliveries, strong supplier relationships and efficient purchasing processes.
What will you do? Your responsibilities include:
Maintaining contact with suppliers regarding prices, quality and delivery times.
Requesting and comparing quotations.
Conducting purchasing and market analyses.
Negotiating terms and conditions within agreed frameworks.
Identifying alternative suppliers and opportunities for cost savings.
Supporting the selection and onboarding of new suppliers.
Keeping contracts, pricing agreements and supplier evaluations up to date.
What do you bring?
A higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking, preferably with at least two years of experience in purchasing, supplier management or supply chain.
Knowledge of purchasing processes and inventory management.
Excellent communication skills and strong negotiation skills.
An analytical and results-oriented approach.
A proactive, accurate and flexible attitude.
Good command of both Dutch and English.
Experience with supply chain compliance, project-based working, or knowledge of the Chinese language and culture is a plus.
