Unleash your creativity and take your skills to new heights while working on business-critical projects. At Arup, we believe in empowering our people to produce work that sets the bar for quality. Our passionate team shares our values, and that's why they love coming to work every day.

The Opportunity

Our Marketing, Communications and Business Development (MCBD) team helps Arup strengthen its reputation, build client relationships, win quality work and attract talented people.

We are looking for a Global Web Specialist to join our global web team and help create, manage and continuously improve Arup’s external website experience. This hands-on role combines digital content, user experience, search optimisation, accessibility and web performance.

You’ll publish and optimise high-quality web content, support campaigns and priority communications, and help colleagues apply our web standards and processes. Using analytics, audience insight and quality assurance, you’ll identify opportunities to improve performance and ensure our digital channels provide an accessible, engaging and effective experience.

The role also offers the opportunity to build your expertise across content management, SEO, accessibility, analytics, website testing and emerging AI-driven approaches to web and search.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit, publish and maintain high-quality website content using a CMS.
  • Optimise online content for user experience, SEO, accessibility and performance.
  • Use website analytics and audience insights to identify and recommend improvements.
  • Carry out quality assurance checks and support website testing.
  • Work with colleagues across the organisation to gather content, requirements and approvals.
  • Support digital campaigns while ensuring content meets agreed brand, governance and web standards.
  • Manage multiple priorities and escalate more complex technical or governance issues when appropriate.
  • Is this role right for you?

    Essential:

  • You’ll ideally bring experience in web, digital content, digital marketing or communications, with practical knowledge of content management systems and creating content for online audiences.
  • You’ll have an understanding of SEO, digital accessibility, web analytics and quality assurance, alongside excellent attention to detail, editorial judgement and clear communication skills. You’ll be organised, collaborative and comfortable using data and user insight to make practical recommendations.
  • Experience with Optimizely or another enterprise CMS, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console or Semrush would be advantageous. Knowledge of HTML/CSS, website testing, AEO/GEO, structured content or AI-supported search would also be beneficial.
  • Desirable:

Experience within a global, matrixed or professional services environment, an interest in engineering, design or sustainable development, and the ability to communicate in one or more additional languages would be particularly welcomed.
