role, you'll join an automotive R&D team developing electric powertrain systems. You'll translate system requirements into electrical architectures, ensuring the integration of high-voltage and low-voltage components.
Your work combines electrical design with practical system integration. You'll create schematics, develop wiring harness concepts and coordinate cable routing in 3D CAD environments. From batteries and inverters to electric motors and charging systems, you'll help bring complex technologies together into reliable solutions.
Working alongside mechanical and software engineers, you'll contribute to design reviews and integration testing, ensuring that electrical systems meet technical requirements while remaining practical to manufacture and maintain.
What you'll be doing as an Electrical Systems Engineer: Define and manage electrical system requirements Develop HV and LV electrical architectures Create electrical schematics using EPLAN or similar Select cables, connectors and protection devices Design wiring harnesses and cable routing concepts Perform 3D cable routing using CAD software Integrate batteries, inverters and electric motors Work on DC/DC converters and charging systems Support integration testing and design reviews Coordinate electrical and mechanical interfaces
What you need to be successful as an Electrical Systems Engineer: BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or related field 5+ years in electrical systems development Hands-on experience with E-Powertrain and HV systems Skilled in wiring harness design and integration Familiar with systems engineering methods Proficient in EPLAN, Zuken E3 or similar tools Skilled in 3D cable routing with NX, CATIA or similar
Experience in these areas would be an advantage: Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or SysML Requirements tools like Polarion, DOORS or Jama Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) ISO 26262 Functional Safety
From day one, you'll benefit from: Salary €4,000 - €5,000 plus additional bonus schemes Up to 36 vacation days to recharge your battery Commute comfortably with a lease car or allowance A strong pension scheme to build for the future Possibility to join our collective health insurance A bike- and fitness scheme to keep you moving Year-round events, knowledge sessions and activities Personalized development: training and coaching Growth opportunities aligned with your ambitions
But that's just the beginning, the real excitement starts in your day-to-day work: Develop advanced electric powertrain systems
Combine electrical design with 3D routing
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Turn complex requirements into real solutions
